Get Your Quote Before You Bid

Every lot description includes item dimensions and weight (where applicable) and specifies whether the lot is eligible for in-house shipping or requires third-party handling. Use that information to request a shipping quote before bidding — not after. Shipping costs on larger or fragile items can be significant, and we want you going in with realistic expectations.

To request a quote before the auction closes, email your delivery address and lot number(s) to shipping@nostalgiabandit.com, or use the shipping inquiry link included at the bottom of each lot description.

In-House Shipping

Most items — guitars, cases, wardrobe, smaller instruments, and comparable-sized lots — are eligible for in-house shipping directly from Nostalgia Bandit. In-house shipping quotes are available before bidding upon request — email shipping@nostalgiabandit.com with the lot number(s) and your delivery address. Final invoiced shipping costs will be confirmed following payment of your auction invoice.

Nostalgia Bandit ships in-house items with professional packing materials and careful attention to the nature of what’s being shipped. These are not warehouse operations — every package is handled personally. Pricing is straightforward and fair. If cost is a concern, ask before you bid.

Third-Party Shipping

Larger and heavier items — oversized keyboards, large cases, and similar lots — require third-party shipping. This will be noted clearly in the individual lot description.

For third-party shipments, we recommend contacting one or more of the following providers directly for quotes. You are also free to arrange your own licensed and insured shipper.

Recommended providers are independent third parties. Nostalgia Bandit is not responsible for the services, pricing, packing, shipping, or insurance arrangements of any third-party provider. Buyers are encouraged to confirm pricing, capabilities, and insurance terms directly with the provider.

These providers are experienced with fragile and high-value shipments. Getting quotes from more than one is always a good idea on larger lots.

For oversized lots, we have worked regularly with Westside Mail Center and recommend reaching out to them first.

Shipping Requirements

All shipments require signature confirmation upon delivery. All lots are fully insured for their declared value — hammer price plus buyer’s premium — through delivery.

For in-house shipping, Nostalgia Bandit ships via USPS and UPS with full insurance coverage on the declared value of each lot. For third-party shipping, your chosen provider’s standard insurance and carrier arrangements apply.

Shipping, handling, and insurance are not included in the hammer price or buyer’s premium and will be invoiced separately from your auction invoice.

Risk of loss passes to the buyer at the fall of the hammer, consistent with the auction Terms & Conditions. Shipping insurance protects the buyer’s interest from the time of shipment through delivery. Buyers using third-party shippers should confirm insurance coverage with their chosen provider before pickup.

The delivery address must match the registered bidder’s name and verified billing address. Address or recipient changes after invoicing require advance written approval and may not be accommodated in all cases.

International Buyers

International shipping is available on most lots. Buyers are solely responsible for any applicable duties, VAT, tariffs, import fees, or customs-related costs. These vary by country and item type — research your jurisdiction’s requirements before bidding.

All international shipments will be declared at full value (hammer price plus buyer’s premium) on customs documentation. Requests to under-declare value or mark shipments as gifts cannot be accommodated.

Timeline

Our goal is to have paid items packed and shipped within two weeks of cleared payment. During high-volume periods following an auction close, fulfillment may take up to four weeks. If timing is a factor — a gift, an event, a specific deadline — contact us at shipping@nostalgiabandit.com when you pay and we will do our best to accommodate.

Local Pickup

Local pickup is available by appointment in the Phoenix, Arizona metro area. Please note that Arizona Transaction Privilege Tax applies to all local pickups, regardless of the buyer’s state of residence.
