A Daisy Rock Rock Candy electric guitar in pale pink sparkle finish (serial #04010459), stage-played by Louise Post of Veruca Salt at the Key Club in Los Angeles in 2006 and signed by Post on the body. Accompanied by original Daisy Rock gig bag.
Historical Context
Veruca Salt are a Chicago-formed alternative rock band co-founded by Louise Post and Nina Gordon in 1992. Their debut album American Thighs (1994) and its breakthrough single “Seether” defined a generation of female-fronted alternative rock and secured the band’s place in the 1990s rock canon. Post plays guitar and shares lead vocal duties throughout the band’s catalog. After a prolonged split, the original Post/Gordon lineup reunited in 2014 and returned to active recording and touring.
Daisy Rock Guitars was founded in 2000 by Tish Cimorelli specifically to provide high-quality instruments designed for female players, featuring thinner necks and lighter body weights. The Rock Candy model — available in the pink sparkle finish offered here — became one of the brand’s most recognizable instruments and was adopted by a number of prominent female artists during the 2000s.
The Key Club was a premier rock and alternative venue on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, Los Angeles, operating until its closure in 2013. It was a consistent fixture for major touring and established acts throughout its run.
Stage & Performance Use
